Pauline Viardot-García (1821-1910) was a mezzo soprano, teacher, salon hostess, and composer. Her circle of artistic friends included Frédéric Chopin and George Sand, Gabriel Fauré, Ivan Turgenev, and her own family, including her sister, composer Maria Malibran. This multimedia performance will include songs, piano solos, piano duets, readings, and art from Viardot’s circle.
